MSME Promotion Council Vice Chairman Dr C Suresh wishes all the stakeholders of Telecommunication and Information Industry on the eve of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2023. 17th May marks the anniversary of the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention and the creation of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Dr C Suresh said “ over the last 10 years the connectivity challenge has become more complex and
demanding, bringing online and connecting everyone is just now enough. Meaningful connectivity – the
possibility to enjoy a safe, satisfying, enriching, productive and affordable online experience – is the new
imperative”.
This year, World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) focuses on “Empowering the least developed countries through information and communication technologies.” The International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) calls on the public and private sectors to make pledges for universal connectivity and digital transformation in developing countries through its Partner2Connect Digital Coalition.
MSME Promotion Council taking a note of this will work with all the MSME Industries in Telecommunication and Information Industry sector and implement the idea into the grass root levels across by associating with various organizations which are working towards this goal.
