In a video message, Sir Nick Clegg, the President of Global Affairs at Meta, expressed that India’s abundant talent pool and rapid digital adoption make it an ideal destination for investment in emerging technologies.

Today, the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, unveiled a three-year partnership between the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Meta. This partnership marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards becoming the global skill capital, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

During the launch, three letters of intent (LoI) were exchanged between Meta and prominent institutions: NIESBUD, AICTE, and CBSE. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Minister of State for Education, Annpurna Devi, and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Minister Pradhan emphasized that this initiative, titled “Education to Entrepreneurship,” is a transformative game-changer. It will bring digital skilling to the grassroots, nurturing a talent pool capable of seamlessly connecting students, youth, the workforce, and micro-entrepreneurs with cutting-edge technologies. This endeavor aims to empower the “Amrit Peedhi” (the youth of India) to become innovative problem solvers and entrepreneurs, aligning with the evolving demands of the digital age.
