In a proud moment for the MSME industry, Dilkhush Kumar’s journey from being a rickshaw-puller to a CEO has been deemed nothing short of inspiring.
Kumar belongs to a small village in Bihar and used to work as a rickshaw puller and vegetable seller. But now, he has founded a multibillion-dollar company called RodBez and risen to great success.
According to the company’s website, it is Bihar’s largest one-way taxi, taxi pool and carpool platform. It even hires graduates from prestigious institutions like the IIT and the IIM, proving that success is indeed possible.
This unlikely leader has also deviated from the way the industry works and offered compensation that ranges between ₹55,000 and ₹60,000 a month to the taxi drivers.
Kumar has, no doubt, proven that while MNCs are certainly important, there is also much that small and medium startup enterprises can do for the country’s economy.
